The design of Diabet for META Materials, offers a solution for those living with Diabetes and their health practitioners, to transform the management of diabetes.

Regular glucose monitoring is important for those managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The discomfort and inconvenience of current methods of measuring glucose levels, reduces frequency of use by some patients.

The proprietary wearable metamaterial film developed by META allows low power radio waves to safely pass through the skin collecting data from the blood.

ERGONOMIC DESIGN

The Imagination Factory designed Diabet, taking into consideration the resistance of some patients towards having medical equipment on display in their home, reducing the likelihood of regular use.

A beautifully designed module, the Diabet glucose monitor fits discretely into the home environment and the visibility of data through the app makes it possible to read results, without needing to be in possession of the monitor itself; allowing patients, doctors and nurses to share and respond to valuable information in real-time.

All data gathered from the glucose monitor, is captured in a user-friendly smartphone app and can be seen in real-time. Users can see quickly what makes numbers go up or down, such as eating different foods, taking medicine, or being physically active.
